Licensed fire alarm technician

Technician, Low Voltage, Licensed – $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS

This position assists in the operation of multiple departments and performs low voltage system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support across the facility.

• Set up and configure low voltage systems such as security, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video, and network cabling.
• Run, terminate, and label cables according to project requirements and industry standards.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and generate reports on system performance.
• Identify and resolve system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Repair or replace faulty components and ensure systems operate at optimal performance.
• Provide technical support and training to end users on system operation and maintenance.
• Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and federal regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Evaluate existing systems for upgrades, perform upgrades to meet new standards.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and project managers to complete projects.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand needs and offer solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

• Read and verify information in small print.
• Communicate in person or via telecommunications equipment.
• Create documents and reports using writing instruments or electronic devices.
• Enter and locate information on electronic devices.

Travel domestically to and from multiple facilities or work‑sites, which may require consecutive overnight stays.

• State and jurisdiction certification and license required for the work location; reciprocal license may apply.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Prior work experience in a role requiring knowledge of local electrical codes and standards.

• BICSI Installer Certification, CompTIA networking certifications (e.g., Network+).
• Manufacturer‑specific certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Axis, Bosch).
• NICET 1 & 2 Fire Alarm certification.
• OSHA 10 or 30‑hour certification/training.
• Technical training or certification in low voltage systems.
