Electronics Technician I
PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electronics Technician I for a 6-month contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. In this role, you will support C-130J aircraft modification efforts by installing, routing, terminating, and testing electrical harnesses and cable assemblies. The position requires interpreting engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and technical documentation while performing aircraft electrical installation and modification work in accordance with established procedures.
RequiredSkills
- Minimum two (2) years of aircraft electrical experience in Communications/Navigation, Guidance Control, Electronic Warfare, Avionics, Electro/Environmental systems, or equivalent fields
- Minimum two (2) years of demonstrated aircraft electrical experience completing wire/harness fabrication, routing, installation, and testing
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft electrical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and specifications
- Minimum equivalent of a USAF 5-Level (Journeyman) or equivalent
- Ability to install, route, terminate, and test electrical cables and harnesses
- Experience working with Fiber Optic, 1553 Data Bus, RF, Twinax, Triax, Quadrax, and Ethernet cable systems
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, support equipment, and calibrated test equipment
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical data
- U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Avionics/electrical systems wire routing and installation experience
- Military or commercial aircraft modification installation experience
- Experience with wire harness installation and checkout procedures
- Ability to interpret installation drawings, route electrical cable assemblies, perform termination processes, and conduct continuity checks
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, symbols, flags, and general notes
- Experience working on C-10J aircraft
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Install, modify, route, terminate, and test aircraft electrical harnesses and cable assemblies
- Remove and install aircraft components as required
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, routing drawings, and harness assembly drawings
- Read and apply maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical specifications
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, work stands, support equipment, and calibrated test equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and FOD-free work environment
- Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with regulations and procedures
- Perform work in and around aircraft, including overhead and repetitive tasks
