Electronics Technician Maintenance II (Aircraft Electrician II)

You will work hands-on with advanced avionics, electrical installations, and modifications, ensuring mission-critical reliability. Responsibilities:

• Install, route, terminate, and test electrical cables, harnesses, and assemblies (Fiber Optic, 1553 Data Bus, RF, Twinax, Triax, Quadrax, Ethernet) on C-130J aircraft
• Remove and install aircraft components as needed for modifications and repairs
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to execute precise installations
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, calibrated test equipment, and support gear to achieve quality results
• Comprehend and apply safety procedures, maintenance instructions, and operational guidelines
• Maintain a clean, FOD-free workspace, ensuring safe and efficient operations
• Properly handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with regulations
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including repetitive movements, overhead work, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in confined aircraft spaces

Required

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of avionics experience in Communications/Navigations, Guidance Control, Electronic Warfare, or Electro/Environmental fields
• Proven ability to read and interpret aircraft electrical drawings with strong technical aptitude
• Meets USAF 7-Level (Craftsman) or equivalent standard
• Eligible for Secret Security Clearance
• Demonstrated proficiency with wire routing, cable assembly, and electrical system testing on aircraft

Preferred

Skills:

• Heavy avionics/electrical systems installation experience
• Background in military or commercial aircraft modification installations
• C-130J aircraft experience highly desirable
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Advanced skill interpreting installation drawings and technical documentation
