Youth Mentor

Lutheran Services Florida seeks a compassionate Youth Mentor to support at-risk youth through one-on-one and group mentoring. In this part-time role, you will build trusting relationships, model positive behavior, assist with life skills, homework, and goal setting, and connect youth and families to community resources. You'll collaborate with counselors, case managers, and school staff to monitor progress, document services, and ensure a safe, supportive environment.

Ideal candidates are patient, reliable, culturally sensitive, and committed to empowering youth and strengthening families in their local community.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group mentoring to at-risk youth
• Support youth with life skills, homework, and goal setting
• Build trusting, culturally sensitive relationships with youth and families
• Collaborate with counselors, case managers, and school staff
• Monitor and document youth progress and participation
• Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
• Connect families with appropriate community resources
• Participate in trainings and team meetings to improve services
