Youth Social Worker

Lutheran Services Florida seeks a compassionate Youth Social Worker to support at-risk children and teens through assessment, case management, and counseling. In this part-time role, you will develop service plans, connect youth and families to community resources, and collaborate with schools, courts, and healthcare providers. You will document progress, ensure safety and compliance with agency and state regulations, and advocate for youth in crisis.

Working within a mission-driven, faith-informed, and team-focused culture, you will help strengthen families, promote resilience, and support positive long-term outcomes for vulnerable youth across Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessments and ongoing case management for youth and families
• Develop individualized service and safety plans
• Offer short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy
• Coordinate services with schools, courts, healthcare, and community agencies
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and case records
• Monitor progress and adjust plans based on youth and family needs
• Educate families on available community and behavioral health resources
• Ensure compliance with agency policies and state regulations
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and case staffing
• Promote a safe, trauma-informed, culturally responsive environment
