Position Summary

As the Business Manager, you’ll serve as the driving force behind sales growth and strategic execution for cutting edge engineered-to-order capital equipment systems. This role blends business development and strategic account management in a cross-functional team oriented setting with a focus on process engineering of complex equipment.

You’ll work in a hybrid capacity from suburban Chicago, IL, collaborating with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to support customers and scale the business.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive and manage the full sales cycle of capital equipment from inquiry to contract
  • Develop strong long-term relationships with engineering and purchasing decision-makers
  • Partner with process engineering teams to align solutions with client specifications
  • Lead company presence at trade shows, conferences, and technical events
  • Create and refine marketing materials, case studies, presentations on digital content used online and on social media
  • Support brand positioning, competitive analysis, and market intelligence activities
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering preferred
  • More than 5 years experience selling capital equipment or process engineering systems
  • Strong knowledge of engineered-to-order or technical sales environments
  • Strong technical knowledge and familiarity with chemistry
  • Customer-focused with ability to manage complex projects and programs
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Prior experience working with manufacturing or industrial equipment clients
  • Ability to travel about 25% of the time domestically and internationally as required
