Gift Entry and Advancement Data Specialist
Doane University’s Division of Institutional Advancement is looking for a customer-focused individual to join the team as a Gift Entry & Advancement Data Specialist. In this role, you are responsible for the accurate processing, acknowledgment, and reporting of charitable contributions to Doane University. This position ensures gifts are recorded in accordance with donor intent, University gift acceptance policies, and IRS regulations, while providing essential operational support for advancement data integrity, reporting, and donor stewardship.
Responsibilities include:
- Executing established workflows to support data quality and reporting needs.
- Preparing routine and ad‑hoc reports and maintaining accurate donor and gift records.
- Communicating gift income information to the business office for proper accounting.
Minimum required qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with databases or customer‑relationship management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace.
- Ability to learn new technologies and processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to customer service, confidentiality, and teamwork.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in higher education or nonprofit environment with data entry, reporting, gift processing, or administrative support.
Compensation:
Hourly rate $19.23 – $20.67 based on qualifications and experience. Position is full‑time, 12 months.
