Purpose of Job

Responsible for overseeing the successful mentoring relationships between 21 mentors and 42 mentees in the Directions Program.

General Description and Duties

* Prepare weekly mentor guides and send guides to mentors.

* Meet with every Directions mentor for 30 minutes once per semester.

* Plan and facilitate the Directions Mentor training with Hansen Leadership Program staff.

* Attend LDR courses (as availability allows), grade class assignments, and facilitate some LDR class content.

Special Skills or Knowledge Required

* Must have worked as a Directions Mentor for at least one year

* Leadership and supervisory skills

* Time management and critical thinking skills

* Comfortable with facilitating material to a group of 20 people

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Total Weekly Hours Required Three per week (on average). Some weeks will require more hours than others. The Head Directions Mentor is paid $700 per semester for their work. Physical Demands
