Overview
Purpose of Job:
Support the Advancement and Alumni offices by educating students, faculty, staff, and alumni on the importance of philanthropy at Doane.
Serve as an ambassador by establishing an open line of communication between the University and its supporters. Gain a greater understanding of the University, its organizational structure, and its annual needs for financial support.
- Gain a greater understanding of the University, its organizational structure, and its annual needs for financial support.
- Communicate with constituents (alumni, parents, employees, students, and friends of Doane) to build personal rapport, and update demographic information.
- Provide tours, interviews, and alumni and donor outreach
- Opportunities in social media and marketing as it relates to the Advancement and Alumni Offices
- Handle personal information with extreme confidentiality.
Sophomore or above standing.
- Able to represent and advocate for Doane in a professional manner.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exhibit comfort in conversing with alumni, faculty/staff, and students.
- Possess strong character, a positive attitude, and the willingness to lead by example.
- Capability to work well independently and in a team setting.
- Display strong attention to detail.
Commit to a minimum of 4 hours (flexible) per week (possibility for more shifts is available). $15/hour
