Starts at $16.12 + monthly incentives
Crete Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants to serve as on-call substitute for special education para educators. This position is specific to substituting for special education para educators; however, additional classified substitute assignments may be added.
This position is open until filled.
Purpose:
The role of a substitute is to ensure that tasks are completed and students are supervised in the absence of the regular special education para educator.
Essential Requirements:
Perform the work as required for the position's job tasks in the absence of the staff member.
Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Principal.
At-Will Position:
The relationship between employer and employee is based on mutual respect and consent and therefore, will continue as long as both parties find the relationship to be satisfactory. Accordingly, you are free to terminate your employment with proper notice whenever you feel it would be in your best interest to do so. By the same token, Crete Public Schools (CPS) reserves the same right to terminate employment whenever, at the discretion of CPS, if it is felt necessary to do so.
This is known as employment "at will," and all employment policies are subject to this overriding principle. Refer to Board Policy 4201.

(1) regular, dependable in-person attendance on the job;
(2) the ability to perform the identified tasks and performance responsibilities which require effective teaching and communication skills; and
(3) the ability to perform the following identified physical requirements.
