Position Summary

The Specialist of Campus Advocacy, Prevention, and Student Support will serve multiple functions within the university community, primarily leading the university’s prevention, education, response to, and reporting of issues related to sexual misconduct, interpersonal violence, and stalking.
The position will also support the CGR Division’s mission in a generalist capacity by collaborating with university and community partners to promote student, faculty, and staff well‑being, safety, and sense of community through outreach and education.
- Manage and adjust as needed the (Campus Advocacy, Prevention, and Education) CAPE Project Strategic Plan
- Hire, manage, and train a peer educator team to assist in peer training on preventing interpersonal violence
- Gather and develop data collection for university use and related activities, including training and programmatic outcome and attendance data, expense reporting data, and assessment data
- Oversee and coordinate meetings for the coordinated community response team, provide direction and oversight as needed to various subcommittees
- Assist students in navigating university resources, providing support and referrals related to academic, personal, and wellness concerns.
- Support the division’s programmatic efforts

Salary $51,500
MinimumRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus one (1) year of experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation of program effectiveness and strategies.
Experience must demonstrate:
- Expertise in topics of interpersonal violence prevention and advocacy in a higher education or social service setting
- Skills in crisis management and the ability to navigate complex relationships with extensive knowledge of confidentiality and relevant laws are required.
- Ability to conduct educational programs and training workshops
- Familiarity with promising practices related to policy development and survivor advocacy, knowledge of laws, regulations, guidance, including Title IX, VAWA /Campus SAVE , and Clery
- Strong organizational skills
- Capacity to work effectively with teams and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse population of constituents
Master’s degree in higher education, counseling, counselor education, psychology, social work, public health, or a related field preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications- Eligible to become and maintain designation as a Designated School Official (DSO) with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in order to support international students
Primarily will work during business hours, but some work during evenings and weekends as needed, based on program needs
