Crete Public Schools is seeking applications for Concessions Coordinator. The person in this position will perform various functions related to the operation of the Concession Stands for all Crete Public Schools activities. Hours may vary, depending on activity season and number of events scheduled in a week including evenings and occasional weekends. This position follows the extra-duty salary schedule in the negotiated agreement.
This position is open until filled.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of background check.
- Possess solid communication skills, both written and verbal, strong organizational skills, ability to finish tasks in a timely manner and effectively partner and collaborate with others.
- Responsible for working all Crete Public Schools activities, including Middle School and High School events. Also responsible for coordinating concessions at tournaments held throughout the year.
- Oversee all operations of the concession stands.
- Determine menu and pricing for the season.
- Purchase and inventory all food and non‑perishable items.
- Rotation of stock and receiving delivery orders.
- Cleaning and detailing of the concession stands to the highest safety and cleanliness standards.
- Create and maintain schedules for groups working concessions.
- Train workers with necessary skills and tasks for operating the concession stand.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the concession stands, which may include:
- Ensure concessions are running according to schedule, including opening and closing.
- Perform opening and end‑of‑shift cash handling procedures.
- Ensure all concession areas have proper displays and merchandise.
- Back‑up during busy times for concessions.
- Responsible for record keeping, deposits, and submitting invoices for payment.
- Coordinate with the Activities Director in planning and scheduling concessions for events.
- Works closely with custodians in control at facilities.
- Serve as a role model to all students.
- Serve as a positive member of the community in a way that does not negatively affect the District’s reputation or image in the community.
- Refrain from engaging in conduct that interferes with the operations of the District, including the education of students.
- Develop and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with other staff and administration.
- Adhere to all District policies, rules, regulations, and supervisory directives.
- Maintain confidentiality of information concerning staff, students, and parents in accordance with law and District rules.
- Adhere to the code of ethics of the District and the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE Rule 27).
This position is an “at‑will” position and may be terminated, with or without cause, at any time in the sole discretion of the Superintendent or Superintendent’s designee.
