Crete Public Schools is seeking applications for a special education para educator to begin with the school year.

Essential Requirements:- High School Diploma or GED and either an associate's degree, two years of college, or a passing score on a state or local assessment (Project Para) that demonstrates their ability to assist with instruction in reading, writing, and math
- Satisfactory completion of criminal background check
- Work well with children and co-workers
- First aid knowledge preferred, but not required
- Bilingual preferred, but not required
FLSA Exempt Status:
Non-exempt.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Principal.
At-Will Position:
This position is an "at-will" position and may be terminated, with or without cause, at any time in the sole discretion of the Superintendent or Superintendent's designee.
Essential Functions:
The essential functions of the Para educator position include:
- (1) regular, on-time, and dependable in-person attendance on the job;
- (2) the ability to perform the identified tasks and performance responsibilities which require effective teaching and communication skills; and
- (3) the ability to perform the following identified physical requirements.
