Lead Preschool Teacher – Blue River Early Learning Academy (BRELA)

Do you have a passion for early childhood education and helping children learn through play? BRELA – the Head Start center in Saline County is seeking an energetic, nurturing, and dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher to create a positive learning environment where children can grow, explore, and develop the skills they need for future success.

As a Lead Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping young lives while working alongside supportive families, staff, and community partners.

• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum and classroom activities that support children s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning through play.
• Support school readiness goals and individual child development.
• Manage daily classroom operations and collaborate with teaching team members.
• Observe, assess, and track children s progress using assessment tools and data.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, coworkers, and community partners.
• Encourage and support meaningful family engagement.

Required

• Associate s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or another credential that meets Head Start Program Performance Standards and Head Start Act requirements.

Preferred

• At least one year of experience in a preschool, childcare, or early childhood education setting.
• Bachelor s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

• Full-time, 36 hours per week
• Monday–Friday
• School-year position with summers off (approximately mid-May through mid-August)
