Universal Worker ; Certified Nursing Assistants; CNA - Part Time Weekend - Assist

Overview

Tabitha in Crete - The Gardens Assisted Living in Crete, NE is seeking a Universal Worker I (Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA) to work Saturday and Sunday, with every 5th weekend off. This schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation.

• Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.
• Assists with senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees.
• Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
• Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing needs of seniors/clients/caregivers/TEA Members/managers, call lights when necessary.
• Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Tabitha.
• Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by safeguarding Protected Health Information (PHI) at all times.
• Implements activities for the seniors/clients.
• Prepares, plates and serves meals, snacks and other foods requested by or for seniors/clients.
• Assists with cleanup of the dining room and is responsible for housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.

• COMMUNICATION: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language including medical terminology related to the job.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to gain access to the work area and safely perform the duties of the job. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 50 pounds, demonstrating strength and agility as required by Tabitha.
• AGE REQUIREMENT: At least age 16.
• EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• EXPERIENCE: 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
• Credentials: CNA certification in good standing as demonstrated by inclusion on the Nebraska State Registry required. MA-40 certification preferred. If utilizing MA-40 certification, CPR is required. All certifications must be kept up to date at the employee’s expense. Must meet Tabitha’s vaccination requirements.

Shift premiums and differentials are also available for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
