Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

Our factory in Crete, Nebraska is one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S., producing over one thousand tons of pet food per day for brands including Alpo®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Pro Plan®, Friskies®, and Nestlé Purina Veterinary Diets®. The facility is located 25 miles from Lincoln, offering convenient access for associates. The role is based at this plant.

• Maintain all plant systems, including facilities, unloading, processing, packing, and warehouse operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring safety and reliability.
• Perform both predictive and preventative maintenance, including vibration analysis and oil sample collection.
• Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators.
• Repair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipment.
• Maintain wastewater system, boiler operations, cooling towers, and general building needs.

• 6+ months of maintenance experience in manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or a related environment, or a 2‑year technical degree completed.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Hourly pay starting at $30.46 with potential increase to $38.02 through additional training and certifications.
