Peds​/PICU Part-time PCA: Nights

In this role, you'll work side-by-side with experienced RNs in a supportive, team-focused environment. You'll learn valuable skills, provide hands-on care, and grow your confidence while helping children and families during some of their most important moments.

Please note:

This is a night shift requiring weeknight availability!

Under the direction of an RN or LPN, you will:

• Assist with individualized patient care to help each child achieve their highest level of wellness
• Perform designated clinical procedures and essential non-clinical support tasks
• Collaborate as part of a strong, compassionate care team
• Contribute to a positive, safe, and supportive environment for patients and families

• High school diploma, GED,
  CNA/CPTC
  , or enrollment in a high school-based healthcare career program
• Nursing students are highly encouraged to apply
• Current Mercy co-workers are also eligible

No experience required!

• If you're new to healthcare,
  Mercy provides a 175-hour state-approved training program as part of your orientation (must be completed within 90 days of hire).

• BLS required within one month of hire
• Completion of PCA competencies within 3 months

This role requires:

• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to meet patient needs
