Position Summary
The role includes ongoing support and reliability of the LSEG ecosystem (Platforms, Networks, Applications, Services, and Websites). The focus is to provide 2nd line support to Operations and Project Delivery (Implementation) functions, ensuring operational stability and adaptability of the LSEG global network.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build and maintain software automation to support platform reliability and availability.
- Administer LSEG network services, ensuring applications and services perform against baselines.
- Monitor network services, focusing on availability and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Handle service providers, third parties and partners as required.
- Make technical design and amendment decisions and independently manage workloads.
- Develop and maintain documentation in compliance with LSEG industry standards.
- Define lifecycle‑management strategies for hardware and software, including capacity considerations.
- Support deployment of emerging engineering patterns across development teams.
- Translate business requirements into technical network requirements through data analysis.
- Collaborate on multiple projects in parallel, providing regular updates to partners.
- Build and validate technical requirements with emphasis on performance, resilience and operability.
- Contribute to infrastructure and network design, offering innovative solutions.
- Support day‑to‑day network operations and manage the enterprise network.
- Rich experience in identifying and solving end‑to‑end network issues.
- Significant experience with routing, switching and routing protocols (CCNA/CCNP preferred).
- Experience in network operations, project delivery and engineering.
- Excellent management of enterprise networks.
- Experience with wireless infrastructure and DDI/infloblox (L1 support).
- Knowledge of network technologies including Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, and F5 (at least two).
- Proficient in HSRP, NAT, MPLS, VPN, GRE, BGP, OSPF, IGMP, RP, PIM, firewall and load‑balancing technologies.
- Ability to use network packet‑capture tools for analysis.
- Experience with datacenter networking, Software‑Defined Networking, Cisco ACI, and VxLAN.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git, Git Lab, Rundeck).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills.
- Previous work with architecture, engineering, network operation teams.
- Experience supporting banking infrastructure and financial institution networks.
- Experience in cloud and cloud networking methodologies.
- Exposure to low‑latency trading environments.
