Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

Job Summary

Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery assignment in Creve Coeur, Missouri. 13 weeks, 12 hour days, 36 hours per week, start ASAP (May 18, 2026).

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring, delivering, and immediate postpartum patients in a high‑paced, high‑acuity hospital setting.
• Collaborate closely with obstetric providers, anesthesia, NICU, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, evidence‑based, patient‑centered care throughout the labor and birth process.
• Interpret fetal monitoring and manage obstetric emergencies and rapid response situations.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as indicated.
• Manage laboring patients, including high‑risk obstetric cases, independently.
• Work in a team‑based environment, comfortably handling two patients simultaneously.
• Adapt quickly to new workflows, policies, and electronic medical records.
• Float between Antepartum and Labor & Delivery areas as required.
• Work independently and within a team environment.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery / Labor & Birth experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Required BLS and NRP certifications. EFM training and Intermediate AWHONN FHM preferred.
• Strong fetal monitoring and interpretation skills.
• Expertise in labor support and coaching.
• Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to handle obstetric emergencies and rapid response situations.
• Experience with high‑risk obstetric cases and delivering patients independently.
• Preferred: two years of current inpatient, acute care hospital experience.
• Compliant with flu vaccination requirement (Nov 1 – Apr 1, exemptions with client approval).
