Heritage Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Nursing Supervisor to support the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing nursing services and ensuring high-quality care for our residents.

As the Assistant Director of Nursing / Nursing Supervisor, you will support the administration and management of Nursing Services, ensuring care is delivered in accordance with physician orders, resident needs, and applicable regulatory standards.

Clinical Leadership & Nursing Operations

• Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee nursing services and support 24-hour nursing operations.

• Assume responsibility for clinical operations in the absence of the Director of Nursing, as assigned and within the scope of licensure.

• Provide guidance, direction, and support to nursing staff to promote consistent, high-quality resident care.

• Monitor nursing practices and help ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations.

• Support adequate staffing coverage and effective nursing department operations.

Resident Care & Clinical Oversight

• Coordinate comprehensive resident care plans in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team.

• Ensure resident care is provided in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and applicable regulations.

• Support the delivery of compassionate, person-centered care that promotes resident dignity, safety, and quality of life.

• Monitor resident care outcomes, including prevention of pressure injuries, maintenance of optimal resident function, and overall environmental and care standards.

• Participate in admission decisions and pre-admission visits as needed.

Team Collaboration & Communication

• Communicate nursing policies, procedures, and expectations to nursing staff.

• Participate in daily and weekly management meetings to discuss resident status, census changes, staffing, and resident concerns.

• Collaborate with facility leadership and other departments to address operational and resident care needs.

• Promote a positive, professional, and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.

• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Current nursing license as an RN or LPN/LVN, as applicable to the position and state of practice.

• Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program, as required by the role.

• At least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience required.

• Five years of long-term care or acute care nursing experience preferred.

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to lead, support, and collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams.
