Multiskilled Fabric Operative (Joinery)
Based in Crewe. This is a permanent, full‑time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General OverviewA Fabric Engineer in a facilities management maintenance team is responsible for routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections. They operate equipment, maintain records, respond to emergencies, ensure safety compliance, collaborate with colleagues, and may receive training. Their role is vital to support the operations of the Cheshire East Council contract.
Key Accountabilities- Complete high‑quality repair and maintenance works and deliver high levels of customer service on a daily basis.
- Complete joinery and multi‑skilled works to finish the job in one visit when applicable.
- Adhere to all Equans values, policies, and procedures.
- Work effectively and positively with the client, customers, and stakeholders on a daily basis.
- Assist proactively in supporting the team to achieve KPIs.
- Use personal communication and protection equipment effectively and responsibly, including the Company’s Vehicle Communication and Tracking System.
- Collaborate with all teams and departments within the Company to ensure the delivery of excellent services.

- City and Guilds or equivalent in Joinery.
- Time‑served apprenticeship (desirable).
- Current valid driving licence (essential).
