Position: Staff Accountant (Hybrid)

Staff Accountant (Hybrid)

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

Overseeing all aspects of property accounting, including financial reporting, account reconciliation, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of general ledger management, financial statements, accounts payable and receivable.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all property accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Utilize Yardi software for property management accounting and reporting.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential areas of improvement.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data and reports.
  • Collaborate with other finance team members to streamline accounting processes and procedures.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Assist with annual audits and provide necessary information to external auditors.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or a similar role.
    • Proficiency in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
    • Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
    • Extensive experience with accounts payable and receivable.
    • Proficiency in Yardi software.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
    • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
