Project Manager - Commercial Electrical Construction

Job Overview

We are hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial electrical construction projects for a well-established electrical contractor serving commercial and industrial clients throughout Connecticut.

This is a leadership role responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, overseeing budgets, schedules, field operations, subcontractors, and client relationships. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial electrical construction, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has successfully delivered projects from start to finish.

• Manage multiple commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from award through final completion.

• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and manpower forecasts.

• Coordinate field teams, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to keep projects on schedule.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders.

• Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders to ensure successful execution.

• Monitor project costs, prepare forecasts, and maintain project profitability.

• Lead project meetings and provide updates on schedule, budget, risks, and progress.

• Resolve construction issues, coordinate design clarifications, and support project commissioning and turnover.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, contract requirements, and company quality expectations.

• 5+ years of project management experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction.

• Current Connecticut electrical license required.

• Experience working for an electrical contractor or electrical subcontractor.

• Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, installation methods, and construction processes.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

• Experience using project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar.

• Proven experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to begin within the next month is preferred.

• Salary: $100,000-$110,000 per year, based on experience.
