Overview

Cromwell Public Schools is looking for a Para educator for Cromwell Middle School (grades 6-8). This is a 1-year position that ends at the end of the academic school year. The para educator will work with a variety of students with disabilities, supporting students in all aspects of their day and in diverse classroom settings under the direction of the special and/or regular education teachers.

Duties may include therapy activities, lifting, field trips, life skill instruction, and other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or building principal.

Associates degree, 60 college credits, or a passing score on the Para Pro Assessment. Experience working with children is preferred. A complete description of duties is available in the Para educator job description.

$23.37 per hour; 30 hours per week: 7:45 am – 2:15 pm (6.5 hours per day with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break). Sick and personal time, health benefits, eligible for a pension.

Starts August 24, 2026.
