Retail Sales Associate – Full Time (AAA Club Alliance, 34 Shunpike Road Suite 20 Cromwell, CT 06416).
Starting base compensation $18.82 to $24.07 per hour, incentive pay average $162–389 per month. Store hours Monday-Friday 9:00a.m.–5:30p.m., Saturday 9:00a.m.–1:00p.m. No Sundays. 37.5‑hour work week. Full‑time associates accrue up to three weeks paid time off during the first year.
Responsibilities- Consistently upsell and cross‑sell AAA products (new memberships, credit cards, insurance referrals).
- Assist members in planning domestic travel vacations (car rentals, hotels, vacation packages, maps, tour books, triptiks).
- Answer incoming overflow calls for Roadside Assistance during peak call volumes, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
- Provide backup in cashiering, tagging, title, and IDEMIA services if applicable.
- Previous sales and customer service experience with ability to drive results and exceed expectations.
- Effective written and oral communication skills to engage customers and articulate AAA membership value.
- Proficiency navigating multiple websites and programs; computer skills essential for multitasking in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain within six months of employment.
- Basic geography knowledge beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Satisfactory pre‑ and post‑employment screening results (criminal, drug, state, and vendor specific screenings).
- Ability to obtain necessary membership license (or other required licenses) as needed to perform essential functions.
