Job Description

As a Security Officer – Access Check Driver in Cromwell, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage. Join Allied Universal at a fast‑paced food and beverage location where you will manage access control, greet team members and visitors, verify credentials, and document activity to support smooth operations. You will remain visible, conduct routine rounds nearby, and help to deter security‑related incidents through strong communication and customer service.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing arrivals to designated check‑in areas.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound traffic including employee vehicles and commercial deliveries, document gate activity, and report irregularities according to site procedures to help deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, initiating notifications and completing required documentation per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas, observing for unusual activity and reporting maintenance or policy concerns through established channels.
Minimum Requirements
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
