The Foreman is responsible for overseeing electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role involves coordinating and supervising the activities of electrical workers, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of electrical systems, and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Oversee electrical projects from inception to completion
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of electrical workers
- Maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion
- Ensure all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications
- Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Prepare and submit reports on project progress and outcomes
- Other duties as assigned
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety protocols
- Ability to oversee and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions
- Ensure and enforce all Safety regulations and requirements
- Ensure all materials are tracked and replenished in a timely manner
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field
- Extensive experience in electrical services, including installation, maintenance, and repair
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively
- Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Experience in project management and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Anticipated 100% travel to project sites nationwide
- Ability to travel occasionally to attend meetings, trainings, and events.
- Ability to wear and utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive movements
- Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to and exceeding 50 pounds
- Adequate vision to perform all required tasks
- Work on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops
- Comfortable with heights and able to climb and descend safely
- Strong sense of balance and spatial awareness
- Participate in respiratory fit testing and use as required
