POSITION
This is a short‑term and/or temporary on‑campus Agriculture Education and Communication teaching position for the University of Minnesota – Crookston Campus's Agriculture & Natural Resources Department for the 2026–2027 academic year.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and teach courses.
- Advise students with regard to academic concerns and school‑related organizations.
- Provide service‑related teaching duties as needed.
- Participate in the decision relation to the policies, courses, and programs to which the position is involved.
- Continuing personal growth within the profession, staying current with the field and broadening knowledge and expertise.
Deliver high‑quality instruction to undergraduate students in curriculum areas of agriculture education and communication. Assist in the development of department goals and objectives; advise students; and support research and community outreach in the discipline. Maintain strong ties to other scholars in the field, enriching the student experience and facilitating student employment opportunities. Provide regular office hours.
QUALIFICATIONS- Master's Degree, preferably in the teaching discipline.
- Or, Master's Degree in another field, plus 18 graduate credits in the teaching discipline.
- A terminal degree in the discipline or related area is preferred.
- Professional and/or teaching experience related to assigned instructional responsibilities.
- Willingness to demonstrate self‑awareness, cultural competencies, and achievement in working with diverse student populations.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Eligibility to work within the United States.

PAY AND BENEFITSPay Range: $1300–$1500 per credit based on experience, course, and enrollment.
Retirement plan options are available for Civil Service, Faculty, Labor‑Represented, Professional & Administrative, and Temp Casual classifications.
