Elementary Teacher Positions
Crookston Public Schools is seeking two elementary teachers, 1.0 FTE each, one 4th grade and one 5th grade, starting August 24, 2026. Candidate must have current Minnesota teaching license, or be anticipating one before August 2026.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated elementary teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment, deliver high-quality instruction, and support the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver effective, standards-based instruction in core subject areas
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instruction
- Participate in professional development and school initiatives
- Uphold district policies and foster a culture of respect and responsibility
Bachelor's degree in elementary education or related field
Valid Minnesota teaching license (or ability to obtain)
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to equity and student-centered learning
Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families
Preferred QualificationsExperience teaching at the elementary level
Knowledge of differentiated instruction and intervention strategies
Familiarity with educational technology tools

Crookston, MN is located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota and has a population of approximately 7,800. Agriculture is a very strong part of our community. University of Minnesota-Crookston campus is located here and is a very strong member and supporter of our community. Located just 25 miles east of Grand Forks, ND, we are close to the University of North Dakota, ample shopping, dining, an international airport and more.
District enrollment size is approximately 1100 students. There are currently 4 sections per grade, with approximately 85 students per grade. Excellent salary and benefits package as per the Crookston Education Assn. Master Agreement.
