Temporary Retreat Center And Special Events Coordinator

Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Be a practicing Catholic with a commitment to the Church’s mission and retreat ministry.
• Coordinate retreat reservations, facility bookings, contracts, and guest correspondence.
• Maintain retreat, meeting, and event calendars.
• Welcome retreat guests and oversee check-in procedures.
• Coordinate logistics for retreats, conferences, meetings, and special events.
• Work collaboratively with housekeeping, maintenance, food service, finance, reception, and administrative staff.
• Assist with retreat operations as needed, including preparing guest spaces and supporting meal service during retreats.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and dignified environment consistent with the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the Diocese of Crookston with professionalism and hospitality.

Experience in hospitality, event coordination, office administration, customer service, or ministry is preferred.

Position Status:
Temporary, Full-Time OR Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Expected Assignment:
October 1, 2026, through approximately April 2027

Work Schedule:

Generally 25-40 hours per week. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required depending upon retreat schedules and special events.

Benefits:
This temporary position is eligible for benefits in accordance with Diocese of Crookston policies.

This position is established to provide temporary coverage during an approved employee leave of absence. Employment is expected to conclude upon completion of the temporary assignment.

Nazareth Retreat House is a ministry of the Diocese of Crookston where Christian hospitality creates space for people to encounter Christ through prayer, formation, retreat, and community. Nestled on nearly 40 peaceful acres in Crookston, Minnesota, the property was lovingly cared for by the Sisters of Saint Benedict for more than a century before becoming a diocesan retreat ministry in 2022.

Today, Nazareth Retreat House continues that legacy by welcoming thousands of guests each year for retreats, conferences, youth events, and spiritual renewal. With modern accommodations, spacious gathering areas, and a welcoming atmosphere rooted in the Gospel, Nazareth Retreat House offers a place where individuals and groups can step away from the demands of daily life to rest, pray, and grow in faith.
