Electronic Control Technician

Job Summary

The Electronic Control Technician is primarily responsible for installing, calibrating, troubleshooting and maintaining control instrumentation systems for beet and sugar processing systems. As ECT, candidates should be able to install, set up, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain a wide variety of instrumentation and control throughout the Factory.

• Install control networks and program Delta V and RS III distributive control software and associated hardware.
• Optimize performance of control loops to ensure efficient operation of various processing systems.
• Work closely with operations to gain a detailed understanding of operating parameters, ensuring maintenance interventions are appropriate and effective.
• Advise operations on process adjustments so operating practices can be adjusted correspondingly.
• Understand equipment and system operating principles and fundamentals.

• Minimum 2‑year technical degree.
• Minimum three (3) years of instrument shop/electronic experience in all required instrumentation fields.
• Must pass skills and aptitude tests and safety screen.
• Computer literate with strong keyboarding skills, able to navigate a Windows Operating Environment, and competent in word‑processing software.
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively.

$36.13 - $39.74 /hr
