Full Time | Salary Range: $25.00 - $34.00 hourly.
WAF – Crookston is seeking an experienced CNC Set Up Technician to join our Machine Shop team. In this highly skilled, hands‑on role, you will set up CNC equipment, troubleshoot machining issues, and help ensure quality parts are produced safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Set up CNC mills and lathes for production runs.
- Install tooling, fixtures, and program offsets.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Perform first‑piece inspections and make necessary adjustments.
- Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with operators to achieve quality and productivity goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Help drive continuous improvement throughout the Machine Shop.
- Associate degree in machining or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of machining and setup experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience setting up CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Positive attitude and team‑first mindset.
