River View Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, River View Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, River View Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

ResponsibilitiesLPN currently enrolled in RN School - Inpatient Unit Position Status:
Part-time (.3 fte) Department:
Inpatient Unit Salary Range: $22.74 - $29.41/hour(based on experience) New LPN grads are encouraged to apply!
Position Overview:
This position is designed for an LPN who is actively enrolled in an RN education program, or will be enrolled in RN school within the year, and wishes to develop hospital inpatient experience while progressing toward RN practice. River View will make reasonable efforts to coordinate scheduled hours around academic and clinical obligations while maintaining the employee’s .3 FTE commitment, weekend rotation, competency requirements, and the operational needs of the inpatient unit.
Minimum(s):
- Current State of Minnesota LPN license is required
- Current American Heart BLS certification. If not currently certified, training will be provided and certification must be obtained within 4 months of date of hire
Preferred(s):
- 1+ year(s) of Medical-Surgical experience
Competencies:
- Must work well under pressure and be sensitive to concerns and confidentiality of the patient
- Ability to work with patients of all ages and backgrounds with professionalism and care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
