Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Operations Leader - Pulp to support our Crossett Paper Mill in Crossett, Arkansas. This unique role combines technical engineering ownership with people leadership and capability development responsibilities within the pulp operation. A successful candidate will drive operational excellence by improving asset reliability, enhancing process performance, developing team capabilities, and creating long-term value through continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with operations, maintenance, reliability, quality, and environmental teams to optimize pulp manufacturing performance while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and Principle-Based Management.
This role reports to the Product System Leader who reports into the Manager of Tissue Operations at the mill.

- Lead with Principle-Based Management® and influence a culture of safety, ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees while identifying and closing performance and knowledge gaps across the pulp operation.
- Partner with operations, maintenance, and reliability teams to improve asset performance, operating capability, and operational effectiveness.
- Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support for pulp processes and equipment to improve reliability, quality, and production performance.
- Analyze operational and process data to identify opportunities to improve yield, quality, efficiency, energy consumption, and overall pulp operation performance.
- Manage and improve asset strategies by partnering with reliability, planning, and maintenance resources to maximize equipment availability and long-term asset health.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, capital improvements, equipment modifications, and outage planning activities that create value for the business.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements while communicating operational performance and improvement opportunities to leadership.
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading continuous improvement, reliability, or process improvement initiatives.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, training, or developing others to improve capability and performance.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Paper Science, Bioresource Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in the pulp and paper industry.
- Experience providing leadership to teams in a manufacturing environment, formally or informally.
- Experience using process analytics and maintenance systems such as PI Vision, PARCview, SAP, or similar platforms.
