Overview
The Special Education Assistant provides support to the instructional program within the assigned school, with responsibility for assisting in the supervision and instruction of special needs students. The role supports the special education teacher with lesson planning, testing, and ISP execution, and observes and documents student progress. The position reports to the principal.
Responsibilities- Assist in supervising and instructing special needs students within the instructional program.
- Support the special education teacher with lesson planning, testing, and Individualized Service Plan (ISP) execution.
- Observe and document student progress to inform instruction and progress reporting.
- Associaterac
12;s degree or 60 semester hours of college credit from an accredited college or university, or a passing score on the Parapro test.
- 182 days per year
- All offers of employment are contingent upon passing the TBI/background check, fingerprinting, and drug screen.
