Master Maintenance Technician - Day shift

Job Description

Master Maintenance TechnicianFull time - Must be flexible to work assigned shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed
A local manufacturing factory is seeking an experienced master maintenance technician to lead advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and improvements across production equipment and facility systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in controls, PLCs, and electrical systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment
• Install, wire, and troubleshoot industrial control systems and panels
• Troubleshoot and modify PLC-controlled equipment
• Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics, control diagrams, and technical drawings
• Support equipment upgrades, retrofits, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance team members
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and plant policies

Requirements

• Extensive maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Strong controls wiring and troubleshooting experience
• PLC experience required (Allen Bradley experience or working knowledge preferred)
• CAD experience a plus
• Solid understanding of basic and intermediate electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical documentation
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods
• Steel toe shoes required
