Registered Nurse In-home care - shifts

Brightstar Care Knoxville is currently looking for a nurse to become part of our home care team in Grimsley, TN (near Crossville, TN).

This case involves a quadriplegic patient with a supportive family and an excellent care environment.

Shifts needed are 12‑hour day shifts.

• Head‑to‑toe assessments
• Assist with patient transfers
• Administer medications
• Assess patients to prevent skin breakdown; provide wound care if ordered by the Plan of Care
• Observe and report any patient changes to the physician(s)
• Provide routine care daily as defined on the plan of care
• Offer necessary education to the patient regarding their health
• Maintain accurate written documentation in patient records

• Current RN license (no restrictions)
• Certified in CPR
• Licensed driver with a personal, insured automobile
• Self‑directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision; able to follow patient needs as they change
• Empathy for patient needs
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills

Expected hours: 12 – 48 per week.
