HVAC Service Technician

Upper Cumberland Heating and Cooling is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to deliver reliable heating and cooling service for residential customers in Crossville, TN.

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure safe, efficient performance. This role will partner with customers and team members to deliver high-quality service while following established safety and service standards.

You will perform service calls and maintenance work, troubleshoot system issues, and complete documentation accurately. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical instincts, a customer-focused mindset, and a commitment to doing the job right.

• Diagnose HVAC system issues through inspection, testing, and troubleshooting; recommend and complete appropriate repairs

• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to support system reliability and efficiency

• Service and repair heating and cooling equipment, ensuring proper operation after each job

• Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, next steps, and service outcomes

• Maintain accurate records of service work performed and follow safety procedures at all times

• Experience servicing or repairing HVAC systems in residential or light commercial settings

• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret system symptoms and performance indicators

• Familiarity with basic HVAC components and safe work practices

• Reliable attendance and the ability to manage daily service priorities effectively

• Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach

• Relevant HVAC certifications or licensing (where applicable)

• Prior experience with a high-volume service environment or customer service role

• Ability to work independently while following standard operating procedures and quality expectations

• Demonstrated commitment to safety, cleanliness, and workmanship standards
