General Labor
Duties and Day-to-Day Responsibilities, but not limited to the following:
- Drive long distances to deliver goods to customers.
- Load and unload cargo.
- Record cargo deliveries.
- Refuel and clean vehicle.
- Report road incidents to the dispatcher.
- Follow traffic laws.
- Inspect trucks and record issues.
- Follow accident procedures.
- Keep an activity log and log hours.
- Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
- Plan routes using GPS system.
- Get goods to the client on time.
- Maintain a positive attitude with customers.
- Keep commercial driver license up to date.
Minimum Training, Education, and Experience Requirements:
- Class A CDL or commercial driver license.
- Current TWIC card.
- Must pass drug and alcohol test.
- Must have clean driving record.
- Must provide current MVR.
- Must provide a medical certificate.
- High school diploma.
- Two years of experience working as a CDL A driver with no legal or safety incidents on record.
- Will work in warehouse when there are no loads to drive or other duties at plant.
- Overtime, weekend, night work may be required.
Preferred:
- Completion of professional truck driving educational program.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Enthusiasm for our products and desire to deliver them safely and on time.
