Implement comprehensive program of health services for campus(es) as assigned. Provide health services to students. Promote health education and preventive health practices for students. Supervise medical health professionals and/or health clinic aides as assigned.
Qualifications- Education/Certification:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited university.
- Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening.
- CPR/First Aid Healthcare Provider Certification.
- CPR Instructor Certification.
- Special Knowledge/
Skills:- Knowledge of health appraisal to identify student health defects.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to implement policies and procedures.
- Experience:
- Three years nursing experience, preferably in school nursing and/or community health.
Minimum teacher salary $61,810 (teacher salary schedule attached).
