The Maples is in search of a highly organized Part Time Maintenance Technician to assist at The Maples Fort Worth, Texas location.

What does the Part Time Maintenance Technician do? (including but not limited to)

The Part Time Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment. This position performs routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on building systems, equipment, and grounds.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and general building structures.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards, wear and tear, or maintenance issues.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner while prioritizing urgent repairs and ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Maintain the exterior grounds, including landscaping, walkways, and general upkeep.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining furniture, fixtures, and security systems as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local building codes, safety regulations, and fire safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff to maintain an organized and effective preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to ensure the safety and comfort of residents and staff.
  • Keep maintenance tools and equipment organized and in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Required:

    High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a residential, healthcare, or institutional setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification or vocational training in maintenance, HVAC, electrical work, or plumbing.
Physical Demands

This job requires employees to have a full range of physical capabilities, including the ability to handle and lift patients, demonstrate manual and finger dexterity, and maintain good eye-hand coordination. Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry items up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing within the normal range are also required.
