Lead Plastic Machine Operator: $17/$18 D.O.E.Who is looking for a new trade opportunity into plastic injection.

Our Technology Company located in Crowley Tx 76036 is a world class organization focusing on highly Precision Plastic Products. The Material Handler is the first person to start the process in making product for our customers. This team member will need to be able to work independent and with others in a team environment. The Material Handler is responsible for the handling of raw materials, and able to conduct preventive maintenance on dryers, loading systems and material grinders.

Monday-Thursday

Hours:

Monday-11am-6pm, Tuesday-Thursday: 6am-6pmPay: $17/$18 D.O.E.Working 42hrs a week and 3 days off weekends.

Essential Functions:

1. Raw Material Understanding:a. Understand the different plastics:i. Understand plastic types – Plastics used at Dalworth Technologiesii. Understand the difference between amorphous and crystallineiii. Melt and dryer temperaturesiv. Material data sheetsv. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) vi. Understand material contamination and preventive measuresb. Understand the basics of material drying and dryer systemsi. What are the drying temps for Dalworth Tech plastics used on a day-to-day basisii.

What are typical drying timesiii. Describe over drying conditions, what you expect to see.iv. Understand the dryer system and how material is driedv. Demonstrate the ability to clean a dryer thoroughlyvi. Understand the operation of dryer and hopper systemsvii. Understand material contamination and the effects of contaminated materialviii. Understand color concentrate, how it is used, let down ratios, specificationsc. Understand material grinders and use of material regrindi.

Understand material grinders used at Dalworth Technologiesii. Demonstrate the ability to remove and install grinder bladesiii. Demonstrate to ability to determine when grinder blades need to be sharpenediv. Demonstrate the ability to change material types in grindersv. Understand the effects of regrind in the plastic processvi. Determine what can be placed in material grindersvii. Understand the quantity and when to use regrindviii.

Understand the throughput of grinders – material per hourd. Area of Responsibilitiesi. Inventory of all plastic raw materials and concentrateii. Ensure dryers are filled with the correct material as per the Production Worksheetiii. Ensure dryers are in place and ready to be used culate the correct dryer size for the product being ranv. Ensure dryers are full during production, unless situation is specifiedvi.

Weigh and mix concentrate and regrind (when required) correctlyvii. Organization and cleanliness of work areas including warehouseviii. Track resin and concentrate usage – including material inventoryix. Clean dryers, loader hoppers and work area during product changex. Ensure equipment is in working order and functioning properlyxi. Store regrind and all materials to be ground up (runners and rejects).2. Work in a production atmospherea.

Work in a team environmentb. Eager to learn new skills in plastic moldingc. Willing to communicate when problems happend. Willing to clean, organize and put equipment and tools awaye. Keep equipment and work areas organizedf. Determine material requirements for upcoming production runsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

REQUIRED:

1. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
2. Good basic math skills
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.
5 Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
6. Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
7. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
8. Operate forklift safely
9. Conduct any other tasks as needed within scope of the support group responsibilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

3. Ability to lift minimum 55 pounds over your head.
4. Ability to climb ladder and step ladder.
