Pay starts at $17.50 per hour and up based on experience
We're looking for an energetic and creative Lead Preschool Gym Teacher who loves getting young children moving, learning, and having fun! This role is responsible for creating an engaging gym curriculum aligned with the Indiana Early Learning Foundations while fostering confidence, teamwork, and a love of physical activity. The ideal candidate is a positive leader with strong group management skills, enjoys working independently, and brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education to every class.
Position Summary:
As a Teacher Lead, this position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Teacher Lead provides direction for the classroom and implements program curriculum while driving the development and growth of students through individualized student progress plans. The Teacher Lead provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
This position is limited to the duration of the Preschool Program school session and subject to change based on local school trends.
