Director of Piping Engineering

Join our team in Crown Point, IN, a thriving community known for its rich history and vibrant culture. This full-time, direct hire position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 plus benefits.

We are seeking an engineering leader with at least 10 years of experience in piping layout and engineering, coupled with an active Professional Engineering (PE) license. This role is crucial for overseeing departmental safety, financial management, technical quality, and staff development. The ideal candidate will drive project execution, ensure client satisfaction, and contribute to business growth.

• Cultivate a work environment that prioritizes safety, perform regular safety audits, and lead safety meetings.
• Manage project budgets, oversee invoicing processes, and ensure budget adherence.
• Address performance concerns, provide feedback, conduct performance reviews, and recommend raises.
• Lead departmental meetings, manage staff assignments, and ensure project schedules are met.
• Prepare calculations, manage projects, and provide technical guidance and training.
• Engage in networking, solicit client feedback, and ensure prompt communication with clients.

• Active Professional Engineering license in good standing.
• BS Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Piping Layout and Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Desire for professional development and mentorship.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Primarily office-based role with occasional fieldwork.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
