The Materials Specialist plans, controls, and maintains proper inventory levels within the Franciscan Materials Management Information System (MMIS) supply location.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

* Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

* Travel between 3 pantry locations required (Crown Point, Michigan City, and Munster)

* Count and restock Fresh Start Market Food Pantry and Diaper Pantry locations weekly to maintain established PAR levels

* Unload delivery trucks, check for damaged boxes, sign for parcels, deliver stock supplies to pantry locations and non-stock supplies to off-site facilities and community partner organizations, prepare parcels to be shipped out by courier

* Fill and deliver departmental daily requisitions

* Receive weekly stock orders, restock shelves, rotate supplies, and monitor expiration dates

* Match packing slips with supplies received to ensure that correct quantities were received

* Answer all incoming calls and assist end users as needed

* Maintain clean supply areas

* Perform weekly cycle counts of Community Health Improvement items

* Prepare parcels to be shipped out by courier to expedite hospital supplies in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS

* High School Diploma/GED required

* Supply Chain and Logistics certificate preferred

* 3 years of Healthcare inventory management experience preferred
