This position is for an entry level assembler to join our assembly team. The person hired will be expected to perform repetitive bench and assembly line operations to produce turbochargers and boost control products and prepare components for the production processes.
This is a Monday through Friday day shift role with rare overtime required. Generous benefits package, 401k and paid time off are offered from first day of hire.
What do we want to know about you?Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. - Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. - Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. - Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software and Manufacturing software. - Interpersonal Skills
- Must be able to work with others in a team-based environment. Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement change in process and procedures as needed. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be familiar with all turbocharger assembly instructions. Follows work instructions in manufacturing process
- Places parts in specified relationship to each other. Installs bolts, retaining clips, screws, or otherwise fastens parts together in proper order and configuration. Inspects components and complete assemblies for conformity. Follows all component handling procedures.
- Operate advanced equipment such as VSR and Component Balancers, determines if manufactured components meet requirements, conducts fault analysis, and determines corrective action.
