Pre Admissions Testing RN

Job Summary

The Pre Admissions Nurse is responsible for the teamwork and coordination of nursing care, including the collection and analysis of assessment data, determination of nursing diagnosis, identification of expected outcomes, and development of a plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team. The nurse identifies interventions to achieve outcomes, implements the plan, evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes, and documents the process.

This role requires sensitivity to age‑specific and unique patient/family needs.

Orthopedic & Podiatry

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 2‑year experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center setting
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, problem‑solve, identify errors, and seek clarification
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, office staff, physicians, vendors, and the public
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptiveness to change, creativity, and innovation
• Ability to adapt to change quickly; strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Ability to identify care needs for patients from infancy to geriatrics
• Excellent teaching skills
• Basic knowledge of performance improvement ideology
