Seafood Clerk

Strack & Van Til is seeking a friendly Seafood Clerk to join our neighborhood-focused supermarket team. In this fast-paced role, you'll stock and rotate fresh and frozen seafood, ensure accurate pricing and appealing displays, and maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards. You'll assist customers with product selection, answer basic preparation questions, weigh and wrap orders, and operate scales and point-of-sale systems.

Working closely with store teammates, you'll help keep the department clean, organized, and well-stocked while delivering reliable, customer-first service to the local community.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service at the seafood counter
• Stock, rotate, and label fresh and frozen seafood products
• Set and maintain attractive, accurate seafood displays
• Weigh, wrap, and price seafood orders using scales and POS systems
• Follow food safety, handling, and sanitation standards
• Clean and sanitize counters, cases, tools, and equipment
• Monitor product quality, freshness, and proper storage temperatures
• Assist with inventory counts and restocking deliveries
• Answer basic product and preparation questions for customers
• Work collaboratively with store team members to support operations
