About the Special Events Contract

This is a unique and dynamic contract that supports the client in delivering operational and public safety services for special events across London. Activities include:

• Supporting pre-planned events, ceremonial occasions, demonstrations, and responses to major incidents
• Deploying and maintaining temporary infrastructure, including signage, traffic management systems, street furniture, and crime scene equipment
• Providing engineering and procurement services for temporary utilities such as power, lighting, and water
• Assisting with evidence preservation, access and egress management, and logistical support to ensure public safety

• Undertake a wide range of general maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections as required
• Provide administrative support by accurately completing reports and job details, ensuring all Work Orders are signed off and returned promptly for processing
• Support operational teams and other trades, assisting as directed by your line manager
• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance in line with contractual obligations
• Work in a safe manner at all times, adhering to Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental policies, and actively promoting a zero-accident culture
• Undertake manual handling tasks, work at heights, and in confined spaces (as permitted and trained)

• Physically fit and comfortable working in varied and sometimes challenging environments
• Good problem-solving skills with a flexible, adaptable approach
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider operational team
• Previous experience in building services, facilities management, or a similar multi-trade maintenance role would be desirable
• Basic competency in at least one trade area would be desirable
• Full UK driving license essential
• Willingness to undergo extended security clearance
