Job Summary:
Martin Chevrolet, a well-established automotive dealership in Crystal Lake, Illinois, is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, Per Booked Hour only position with the potential to earn between $85,000 to $185,000 per year, paid weekly. We are looking for an individual contributor who is passionate about cars, trucks and has a strong technical background in the automotive industry.
As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostic, and repair work on a variety of vehicles.
This is a commission-only position with the potential to earn between $85,000 to $185,000 per year, paid weekly. Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and repair work on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, and more
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools
- Provide accurate and timely estimates for repairs and communicate with customers about necessary repairs
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure repairs are completed to dealership standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all safety protocols
- Continuously update technical knowledge and skills through training and development programs
- Follow dealership and manufacturer procedures and protocols for vehicle repair and maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and tools
- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools
- Experience with domestic and foreign vehicles
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and protocols
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Valid driver s license and a clean driving record
